We love sharing the story behind our coffee blends, and one of our favorites is the inspiration behind Olivia and Lex. These two blends are named after the daughters of our founder, Kim Loupis. 

Naming the blends after his daughters was a way to honour and acknowledge the important role that family plays in Kim's life and reflects the values of The Wood Roaster - a commitment to quality, family, and honouring the people who inspire us.

Olivia Blend

Olivia was a Silver medal winner in the Espresso category at the 2022 Melbourne Royal Australian International Coffee Awards.

Olivia is a multi-dimensional overload with the flavour & rich notes of English Toffee, Blackcurrant, Caramelised Orange, and Dark Chocolate.

Olivia is our most popular blend, using an extraordinary mix of African and Oceanic beans, this blend showcases some of the world's most unique coffee profiles.

Lex blend

Lex, with a cupping score of 90+, is a project blend encompassing a current exotic, rare and exciting combination.

Beans are sourced directly from single estate multi-generation farms that specialise in producing high flavour profile coffees. These farms are always experimenting with new and hybrid varieties and different processing methods to create amazing coffee.

The result has a distinctly floral bouquet and a riot of fruit flavours and honeyed tones that are an attack on the senses.
